Volunteers from Home Depot help beautify Vita Nova

Volunteers from Home Depot – including Dan Grund, manager of the Jupiter Home Depot — helped beautify the exterior of Vita Nova in West Palm Beach Friday, October 12, 2018. “This is a homeless drop-in center for teens, so we try to make it as engaging as possible, from the inside to the outside,” said Vita Nova CEO Jeff DeMario. Team Home Depot added new plants and flowers, put down mulch and rock bedding, and created a vegetable and flower garden. They also painted the patio and delivered an outdoor grill and new patio furniture. Vita Nova helps young adults ages 18-25 transition to independence by providing a stable, nurturing environment that includes housing, counseling, and education via an array of programs and services. Vita Nova means “new life” in Latin. Grund was planting dwarf ixora and flax lily. (Bruce R. Bennett / The Palm Beach Post)
